Hey! Diddle, Diddle
by Mother Goose

Hey! diddle, diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon;
The little dog laughed
To see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

  1. Back in the days when this rhyme was familiar to all children (I'm thinking the 40s and 50s), there were these nursery rhyme decals that parents stuck all over the furniture. Humpty Dumpty here, the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe there -- that sort of thing. They were on the bed, the dressers, the door, and on and on. Hearing this today reminded me of them. Do you also remember them?

  2. Yes, I do and they are fond memories.
